HALTER OTTAWA — Eva Mae Halter, 78, died at 3:26 a.m. June 30, 2016, at St. Rita's Inpatient Hospice, Lima. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa. Pastor Lon A. Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Hedges Cemetery, Broughton. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.

Harless, Offitt "Ted" - Bluff City  
OFFITT HARLESS BLUFF CITY, Tenn. — Offitt Theodore "Ted" Harless, age 81, of Bluff City, TN passed away June 26, 2016, at Select Specialty Hospital. He was retired from the EX-CELLO Corporation in Lima, Ohio after 38 years of service. Survivors include his wife Dolly Gibson Harless; his children, Katherine Webster and husband, Allen; Melinda Painter and husband, Randy; Kywana Koogler and husband, Ross; Offitt Harless Jr. and wife, Pam; John Harless and wife, Jackie; Brad Harless and wife, Brenda; Paula Davis and husband, Dennis; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Lambert and Pauline Setters; step-children, Allen Owens and wife, Carma; David Owens and wife, Lori; Debbie Noonkester and husband, Tim; Lorrie Timbs and husband, Kenneth and Michael Owens and wife, Annette. He was preceded in death by step-son, Robert Owens. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 2, 2016, at CHILES - LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Burial will follow the service in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire. Hart, Kip - Pandora  
KIP HART PANDORA — Kip Hart, 51, of Pandora died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born July 19, 1964 in Lima to the late Budd and Catherine (Krick) Hart. He is survived by two brothers: Ted Hart of Ottawa and Kim (Judy) Hart of Michigan; a sister: Kay (Tim) Meyer of Pandora; two nephews: Scott (Lydia) Meyer and Kyle (Brandi) Meyer; and five great-nieces and nephews: Laney, Joscey, Carson, Chase, and Ty Meyer. Kip was a Graphics Designer and co-owner of JT Graphics.com . He was working as a partner to cast and model kits in graphic design. There will be no services, in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Putnam County Hospice. Hatfield, Barbara - Lima  
BARBARA HATFIELD LIMA — Barbara Ann (Snider) Hatfield, 89, of Lima passed away at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Wyngate Senior Living Community in Lima. She was born on July 5, 1926 to the late Fred and Helen (Foreman) Snider. She was raised on a farm near Waynesfield. After her high school graduation from Waynesfield High School in 1944, she went to work at the Lima Tank Depot. On December 25, 1946, Barbara married Joe C. Hatfield who preceded her in death on September 24, 1993. Barbara, along with her husband, owned and operated Hatfield's Market in Waynesfield for a number of years. She later worked at JC Penney's in Lima, the Vogue Shop in Kenton and would later retire as an insurance agent for National Life Insurance Company. She also volunteered as an election worker and helped children with reading at Kenton City Schools. Barbara was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion in Kenton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kenton. Barb was known for her sharp mind, sense of style and her dedication to her family. She was known as "queen bee" at Wyngate. The family would like to thank the staff of Wyngate for their loving care. Barbara is survived by a son, Joel (Tish) Hatfield of Spencerville and grandchildren, Melissa Mickey, Colby Denman, Emily (Chris) Collias, Sarah Hatfield and Benjamin (Lydia) Hatfield. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Alexandra (Drew) Naum, Ethan Mickey, River Denman, Skyler Denman and Hadley Collias. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Denman and an infant daughter, Angela. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Alice Smith and Eunice Miller and two brothers, George "Bill" Snider and John Snider. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Kenton where visitation will be for two hours prior to the service (4:00-6:00 p.m.) Wednesday. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Willow Branch Cemetery, near Waynesfield. Memorial contributions can be directed to the Wyngate Senior Living Community Activity Fund in her memory, in care of the funeral home. Humphries, Louis - Lima  
LOUIS HUMPHRIES LIMA — Mr. Louis Frederick Humphries, Sr., age 76, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at approximately 9:34 a.m. at his residence in Lima. Mr. Humphries was born on July 28, 1939 in Sunflower County, Mississippi to the union of Eddie and Ethel Lee (Searchy) Humphries, Jr.; both parents preceded him in death. Mr. Humphries first married Joann (Joiner) Humphries on September 25, 1965, she preceded him in death on November 23, 1992 and he then married Shirley (Irons) Humphries on April 3, 1999 who survives in Lima. He worked as a Correctional Officer at Allen Correctional Institution; prior to working at Allen Correctional he worked at Westinghouse for over 27 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member of the Usher Board. He enjoyed playing Guitar and he was a gun enthusiast. He loved riding motorcycles and was a fix everything kind of guy. Besides his loving wife Shirley he leaves to cherish his precious memory 3 daughters; Teresa A. Monford (Dr. B. LaMont) of Lima, Letetia Humphries of Atlanta, GA., LaShay Irons of Lima. A son; Louis F. Humphries (Nikki) of Atlanta, GA. 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 2 brothers; Ricky D. Humphries (Billie Jean) of Saginaw, MI. Stanley W. Humphries (Latoya) of Sunflower County, Miss. 3 sisters; Eleanor Joiner of Toledo, OH, Mary Frances Morris (Carl) of Saginaw, MI and Betty Gardner (Joe) of Sunflower County, Miss. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Corbert Humphries and Eddie Humphries, III. A sister; Marva Patterson. Home going services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.at Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Toney, officiating and Rev. Dr. B. LaMont Monford, Sr., eulogizing. Visitation/Wake will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Church Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery Military Honors provided by V.F.W. 1275.
