Yazel, D. Hope - Lima
D. HOPE YAZEL LIMA — D. Hope Yazel, 99, passed away peacefully at 8:07 am, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Bridge Home Health and Hospice in Findlay. She was born on July 22, 1916 to Guy W. and Bernice (McGriff) Brentlinger who preceded her in death. She married Walter E. Yazel on December 31, 1943 and he preceded her in death on December 24, 1999. Hope was a bookkeeper for Westinghouse and a teller for Metropolitan Bank. She celebrated her 99th birthday on July 22 by attending the Glen Miller Band concert with the Elmcroft Senior Living residents. That was a dream come true for her. Mom will always be remembered for her "embellished" stories that became bigger and funnier every time she told them. She was never without her red lipstick, matching outfits, shoes, and jewelry. Her greatest joys were her four grandchildren, Kyle, Ashley, Ryan, and Lindsey Hoge, and her five great-grandchildren, Chase, Jackson, Saylor, Kyle Jr., ahd Kahlani Hoge. Her favorite times were spent with Saylor who could always make her smile. Other survivors include: a Daughter, Becky Yazel (Tom) Beining of Lima; a sister-in-law, Wilma; a niece Beth, as well as several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: a son, David Yazel. A private Celebration of "Life with Hope" service will be held. The family would like to thank all the Staff at Elmcroft for your care and support. You all were truly her extended family. In lieu of flowers, cards, or condolences, please cherish a memory of mom and think of her with a smile. Arrangements are entrusted to Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services. Condolences may be expressed at chiles-lamanfh.com .
