Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Wapakoneta. Pastor Becky Sunday will officiate. Burial will be in Hamilton Bethel Cemetery near Mendon. Haning, Clifford - Lima  
CLIFFORD HANING LIMA — Clifford "Red" Haning,84, passed away May 19, 2015, at 7:46 am, Lima Memorial Health System Clifford was born August 31, 1930 in S. Charleston, WV, to Roy Haning and Hazel Angel who preceded him in death. On March 15, 1952 he married Mary Helen Lewis who preceded him in death on May 28, 2012. Known as Cliff, Red or Gene by some, to his family he was just "Paw". A strong man who served his country with the United States Marine Corp in the Korean War. He was a cook on one of Lima's Steam Locomotives with the Nickel Plate Railroad. On the weekends, you could find him working the pits at Allentown/Limaland Speedway or Waynesfield Speedway. He retired after 37 1/2 years at Ford Lima Engine Plant. He loved his only daughter, calling her Stinky or Babe, with a deep friendship coming in later years. Cooking for his family was his tradition on New Year's Day. He loved to bowl and travel, taking his two grandsons many places across the country. But the boys lost their place as the apple of his eye, when a curly haired girl and a little ornery boy stole his heart, becoming a proud great grandpa. He is now reunited with "Honey" (Helen) his one true love, rejoicing together forever in Heaven. But will still be greatly missed by his family. He was a life member of the VFW, a member of the American Legion, the United States Marine Corps League, the Allen County Veterans Council, and Blue Star Mothers' Auxiliary. Survivors include: daughter, Mary "Jeannie" (Ted) Lyle of Lima, OH, two grandsons, Chris M. (Maria) Lyle, Matt P. (Karla) Lyle, two great grandchildren, Krista and Grady Lyle. Services will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Shawnee Chapel. Brother Kerry Snapp to officiate the service. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum following the service. Friends may call Thursday, May 21, 2015, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Shawnee Chapel. Hover, Richard - Cridersville  
RICHARD HOVER CRIDERSVILLE — Richard E."Dick" Hover Sr., 70, was called into the presence of the Lord, at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015, in his home. Dick was born January 10, 1945 in Frankfort , IN, to the late Wilbur F. "Jiggs" and Helen C. (Kirk) Hover. On June 12, 1964 he married Bonnie L. (Swickrath) Hover, who survives in Cridersville. They were married 50 years. Dick retired from the Ford Engine Plant, Lima, after 38 1/2 years. He was a member of Garret Wycoff Lodge #585 Free & Accepted Masons, and was a 32nd Degree Mason, Valley of Toledo. He was also a member of Eagles Aeries #370, and life member of National Rifle Association and the Sabres Gun Club. He was a former scout leader, softball coach, and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a proud husband, dad, and grandpa. Dick and Bonnie were blessed with four children Richard E."Dick" Hover, Jr. of Cridersville, Cynthia L. "Cindy" (Mike) Reynolds of Lima, Angel L. Ketcham of Bartow, FL, and Elizabeth A. "Beth" (Sean) Eley of Harrod; and eight grandchildren, Brittany M. Hover, Victoria R. Hover, Alexandra N. Hover, Kimberly D. Reynolds, Andrew M. Reynolds, Christian M. Eley, who preceded him in death, Carissa D. Eley, Kelsey A. Eley, and Kaelan M. Eley. He is also survived by a sister, Shirley A. Dixon of Lima; and Mother-in-law, Mildred M. Longbrake of Lima. Services will begin 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at CHILES - LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Rev. Tim Benjamin will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015, at the funeral home. Howe, Doris - Minster  
DORIS HOWE MINSTER — DORIS L. HOWE, age 89, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 6:55 AM at the Heritage Center, in Minster. She was born on February 20, 1926 in New Bremen to the late Arnold and Clara (Fishbach) Waterman. On February 9, 1946 she married Lester R. Howe, who preceded her in death on March 28, 1989. She is survived by a daughter Nan (Thomas) Scheib of Celina, a son Keith (Sharon) Howe of New Bremen, four grandsons Ryan Scheib, Glenn Scheib, Kyle Howe, and Wyatt Howe, and four great-grandchildren Colin Scheib, Riley Scheib, Miranda Scheib, and Cooper Scheib. Also surviving are a sister Betty McGowan of Phoenix, AZ, a brother David (Jean) Waterman, and a sister-in-law Alice Waterman all of New Bremen. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Donald Waterman, and brothers and sisters-in-law James (Audrey) Waterman, Thomas (Charlene) Waterman, and a brother-in-law John McGowan. Doris was a lifelong member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen. She graduated in 1944 from New Bremen High School and worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base during WWII. She retired in 1992 after 31 years of service as the central office secretary at New Bremen High School. She was a member of the Child Guidance Club (OCCL), and a member of the New Bremen American Legion Post 241 Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing Bingo, spending time with family, and attending her grandchildren's activities. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her smile, and her love and devotion to her family. She will be greatly missed. A celebration of Doris' life will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 10:30 AM the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, with Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Interment will follow at the German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen. Calling Hours will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home of New Bremen, and one hour prior to the services on Tuesday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Heritage Center for Rehabilitation and Specialty Care in Minster, Ohio, where Doris had resided for the past 15 years. INEZ JONES LIMA — Ms. Inez Jones, age 73, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at approximately 7:26 p.m. at her residence in Lima. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Gus and Odies Ward Wilson, Sr. Both parents preceded her in death. Ms. Jones retired from St. Michaels Hospital in Detroit, Michigan as a Cook. She was a member of Grace Church Worldwide Ministries where she served on the kitchen committee and Follow Up ministries. She enjoyed reading, cooking and computer games. She leaves to cherish her precious memory a sister; Annie J. Jennings of Lima. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers; Edward Wilson, Gus Wilson Jr., Albert Wilson, Joseph Wilson, Billy Wilson, Matthew Wilson and Nicholas Wilson. Home going services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Church Worldwide Ministries with Elder Ronald Fails, officiating. Visitation/Wake Services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. also at the Church Services Entrusted to: JONES-CLARK FUNERAL HOME, INC.
