DANIEL ROOF LIMA — Daniel Albert Roof, 66, passed away February 20, 2015, at 6:38 am, Miami Valley Hospital Daniel was born March 1, 1948 in Lima, OH, to Fierdinand and Marcella (Maag) Roof who preceded him in death. On July 24, 1971 he married Cindy Childs Roof who survives. Daniel enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed camping, Flea Markets, car shows, auctions, playing cards and riding his Harley Davidson. His family remembers him as the only man they knew to wreck everything he drove, blew stuff up, lived through it, and then passed on from heart failure. Survivors include: three Children: Curtis Roof of Marion, OH. Corey (Jennifer) Roof of Marion, OH, Victoria Roof of Marion, OH, Grandchildren, Daniel " Brent" (Megan) Roof, Croslie Jade (Williamson) Roof, Cynthia, Tyler, Cheyanne, Kristen, Caroline Roof, Ashton. Great Grandson; Blake Daniel Roof. Brother, Marcus "Jack" (Frances) Roof of Glandorf, OH, three Sisters, Lou Ann Roof C. PP. S. of Dayton, OH. Helen (Carl) Brinkman of Ottawa, OH, Carolyn (Melvin) Balbaugh of Miller City, OH. Several Nieces and Nephews. Services will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Chiles Laman Funeral and Cremation Services Eastside Chapel. Sister Lou Ann Roof C. PP. S. to officiate the service. Burial will be at a later date. Military Honors will be performed by the VFW #1275 and an Army Detachment. Friends may call Monday, February 23, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Chiles Laman Funeral and Cremation Services Eastside Chapel and One hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the Funeral Home. MOSES SANDERS JR. LIMA — Moses Sanders, Jr., 67, died at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at his residence. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Cornerstone Harvest Church with funeral services following at 11:00 AM and Pastor David Roberts will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with VFW Post 1275 conducting military graveside services. Other arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel.

Sheeter, Andrew - Delphos  
ANDREW SHEETER DELPHOS — Andrew S. Sheeter, 33, of Delphos, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at his residence. His Family…. He was born July 19, 1981 in Lima to Paul A. Sheeter and Terri (Eccard) Sheeter. His father survives in Delphos and his mother survives in Lima. He is also survived by two sons, Easton James Sheeter and Ylon Gideon-Lynn Sheeter; three siblings, Bryan Sheeter, Carri Sheeter, and Tiffany Fraley; materal grandparents, John Eccard and Jackie Eccard; godmother, Carol Calvelage. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Don and Dolly Sheeter. His Legacy…. He worked for Chief Super Market in Delphos. He graduated from Delphos Jefferson High School. He was a loving father to his children. His Farewell Services.… Funeral services will begin at noon on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Strayer Funeral Home in Delphos with Father Ron Schock, officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday and 10 am-noon on Friday at Strayer Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Shively, Anna - Wapakoneta  
ANNA SHIVELY KOSSUTH — Anna E. Shively, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 4 a.m. Feb. 24, 2015. She was born Feb. 3, 1922, in St. Marys to Harry W. and Bertha McAfee Huckemeyer, who preceded him in death. On June 20, 1942, she married Wavel E. Shively, who died Jan. 16, 2007. Mrs. Shively was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in St. Marys. She was a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772 in Spencerville and a member of Ida Rebekah Lodge in Spencerville for 43 years, serving as treasurer, chaplain and Noble Grand. Survivors include two daughters, Wilma Dyer and Maryann (J.P.) Andrews; a granddaughter, Lorraine (Mark) McIntosh; a grandson, Jayson Shively; two great-grandsons, Cole McIntosh and Kayden Shively; a sister-in-law, Patricia Shively; a stepbrother, Eugene Brodbeck; a stepsister, Rachel Webster; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald E. Shively; two brothers, Walter (Mabel) Huckemeyer and Marion (Leona) Huckemeyer; two sisters, Florence (Robert) McCarthy and Hazel (Richard) Lauth; and a brother-in-law, Paul Shively. Private graveside services will be held at Kossuth Cemetery. The Rev. Ed Bray will officiate. There will be no public visitation. Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ Endowment Fund or the charity of the donor's choice. Condolences may be expressed at tbayliff@woh.rr.com. Smith, Lloyd - Delphos  
LLOYD SMITH DELPHOS — Lloyd B. Smith, of Delphos, 96, died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Van Crest of Delphos, OH. He was born on August 14, 1918, in Preble County, OH to Howard and Susie (Brubaker) Smith, who have preceded him in death. On July 30, 1941, he married Elizabeth Sochor in Van Wert, OH, who died on February 11, 2013. He is survived by one son, Donald E. (Sally) Smith of Hernando, FL; two daughters, Susan K. (John) Ebey of Santa Monica, CA and Barbara J. (Kim) Bradshaw of Elida, OH; two grandchildren, Ryan J. (Sarah White) Bradshaw of Kansas City, MO and Laura E. (Sergio Piño) of Santiago, Chile. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two sisters, Gladys Newberry and Mary Helen Schmidt. Lloyd graduated from Lanier Township High School in Preble County, OH. He graduated from Ohio State University June 10, 1940 with a BS in Agriculture and August 29, 1958 with a Masters in Science from OSU. He taught Vocational Agriculture at Ohio City-Liberty School (1940-1942), Bryan City Schools (1942-1944), Spencerville Schools (1946-1950), and was the first Vocational Agriculture teacher at Delphos Jefferson High School (1950-1973). He retired from Delphos Jefferson in 1973, where he also served as Assistant Principal for three years. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater (1944-1946) and in the U.S. Naval Reserve (1950-1964). He commanded the U.S. Naval Reserve Unit in Lima for one year; retiring as a Lieutenant Commander after 16 years of service. From 1973-1983, he was Vice President at The Peoples National Bank, concentrating on Agri-Business customers. Mr. Smith was President of the Ohio Vocational Agriculture Association, Alternate Vice-President of Region IV of the National Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association, President of Delphos Education Association, and President of St. John's Parish Council. In 1973, he received the O.V.A.T.A. Outstanding Teacher Award. He holds an Honorary/State Farmer Degree and an Honorary FFA Degree. He was inducted into the Delphos City Schools Hall of Fame. Lloyd was a member of Delphos St. John's Catholic Church where he was a lay Communion Distributor. He was a member of the Ohio Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association, Knights of Columbus, and St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was an avid Ohio State football fan and Cincinnati Reds fan. He loved to play cards, fish, and read. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Father Dennis Walsh will be officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Catholic Cemetery with full military rites by North Atlantic burial services. Family and friends may call on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Harter and Schier Funeral Home. There will a Knights of Columbus Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. and a Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. with Deacon Fred Lisk. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. John's Parish Foundation, and Honor Flight. To leave condolences please go to www.harterandschier.com .

Taylor, Thomas - Lima  
THOMAS TAYLOR LIMA — Thomas H. "Thom" Taylor, 60, passed away at 9:53PM on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born on February 17, 1955 in Lima to Walter H. (deceased) and Norma (Smith) Taylor who survives in Lima. He was previously married to Tracy Wheeler, who survives in Lima. Thomas worked out of the Painters Local 1020 for over 20 years. He was a member of the Lima Area Blues Society and loved music and art. He enjoyed watching boxing, MMA and soccer. He loved spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all his fellow musicians. Surviving are his two sons Nick (Christy) Taylor and Matthew Taylor, both of Lima; his four grandchildren Andrew, Jacob, Dominyk and Haley; his five siblings Lorain (Thomas) Lovett of Lima, Peggy (Gary) Jennings of Lima, Anita (Eric Sims) Jennings of Toledo, Helen (Bill) McGuire of Lima and Steve Taylor of Lima; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Pastor Phil Starr officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the Lima Area Blue's Society. Condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com .
