Steven Gilroy


LIMA — F. Eugene (Gene) Gilroy, 82, passed away December 4, 2013, in Port Charlotte, Florida.

He was born January 7, 1931, in Lima, to Harold and Lena Gilroy, who proceeded him in death. On September 11, 1953, he

married Jean (Adams) Gilroy, who survives in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Gene was an Army veteran of the Korean war. He was a certified welder and worked at Baldwin-Hamilton, Sheller Globe/Superior Coach and retired from General Dynamics Army Tank Plant in Lima. Gene enjoyed fishing and was an avid bowling, having bowled at Moreo Lanes, 20th Century and Westgate Lanes, where he and Jean were often league champs.

Gene is also survived by a son, Steven (Alice) Gilroy, of New Bremen; a daughter, Stacey (Dan) Buschor, of Butler, PA; six

grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Martin of Ft. Meyers, FL, and Peggy Wolfle of Paulding.

Gene is proceeded in death by a son, Scott A Gilroy; a sister, Betty Burden; and a brother, Kenny Gilroy.

There will be no services.
