KENTON — Bryan C. Beaman, 50, of Kenton, died on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born on January 19, 1963, to the late William and Helen (Scott) Beaman. He married Lynn Neumeier on October 10, 1992, and she survives.
Bryan is also survived by his daughter: Baylee at home; his son: Brady at home; his brothers: William E. (Alice) Beaman of Kenton, Ohio, Brice (Jo Ellen) Beaman of Alger, Ohio, Brent Beaman of Heath, Ohio, Brad Beaman of Kirtland, Ohio, and Barth (Erica) Beaman of Columbus; his sisters: Barbara Beaman of Kenton, Ohio and Becky (Don) Diglia of Elida, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; his father and mother-in-law: Jim and Bonnie Neumeier of Ada and brother-in-law, Russ Neumeier of Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his brother: Dr. Robert P. Beaman and two nephews, Mac Beaman and JW Ralston.
Bryan graduated in 1981 from Kenton Senior High School. He was first employed at Brim's Imports (now for 35+ years) followed by the Kenton Police Department for eight years. He worked for both the Kenton Waste Water Plant and the Water Department. He and his wife also owned and operated Jac Do's Pizza in Kenton. Bryan then became a firefighter for the Kenton Fire Department where he has served for the past 11 years. He has also enjoyed employment as an auctioneer and a cement mixer driver for Hensel Ready Mix. Bryan loved the City of Kenton and Kenton Wildcat Football. He loved to help others, never asking for anything in return. He will always be remembered for his work ethic. Bryan was a cancer survivor.
Bryan was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed watching his daughter Baylee cheer at Kenton Wildcat football games. He also loved to watch his son Brady wrestle, hunting with his family and loved farming.
Bryan recently completed a community service project at the Salisbury Park with a Mud Run and Quarry Dash.
He was a member of the International Association of Firefighters and Northwest Ohio Volunteer Firefighters. He was also a member of the Kenton Moose Lodge.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 29, 2013, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Kenton, with Reverend R. Scott Johnson officiating. A procession will follow to Preston Cemetery where the Firefighters Last Call ceremony will occur.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Kenton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to scholarships for the children's education in care of Lynn or the Kenton Athletic Boosters.
