LIMA — Charles E. "Chuck" Cinardo, 89, passed away 6:27 am Friday, June 6, 2014 at Otterbein Nursing Home, Cridersville.

Chuck was born December 21, 1924 in Boston, MA., to the late Guytano and Geneve Cinardo. On June 11, 1949 he married Jean E. (Schott) Cinardo who survives in Lima. This year would have been their 65 year anniversary.

Mr. Cinardo was a 1942 graduate of Boston English High School. He received his degree in Industrial Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1950. Chuck retired from the Stalwart Rubber Company, Bedford, OH., in 1967. He also enjoyed working in Real Estate for several years.

Chuck is a United States Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a member of CIAO of Lima.

Chuck and Jean were blessed with a son, Anthony "Tony" Cinardo, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by a sister, Paula (Kenneth) Ey, of Middletown, NY; three nephews, Scott (Debbie) Ey, David (Annemarie) Ey, and Jared Ey; and a niece, Jennifer (Carlos Santiago) Ey; three great- nephews, 4 great-nieces; many cousins; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Vanek.

He is preceded in death by his in-laws, Hazel and George Schott.

Services will begin 11:30 am Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Unitarian Universal Fellowship of Lima, 875 W. Market St., Lima.

Friends may call from 10:30 to the time of the service at the church.
