FREDERICK EVERS

LIMA — Frederick H. "Fritz" Evers, 89, died at 1:40 A.M. on Friday, November 08, 2013, at Wyngate Senior Living Center in Lima, Ohio.

Frederick was born on Sunday, September 14, 1924, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Cornelius J. "Neil" Evers and Myrtle K. (Fetters) Evers.

Frederick married Geneva I. (Longbrake) Evers on May 4, 1946. She preceded him in death on December 5, 2003. Fredrick worked at All Phase Electric for 21 years as an electrical salesman. During World War II (March of 1943 through March of 1946) he served in the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of ARM 2/C. He was a lifelong member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio. He was a member and instructor of the Lima Power Squadron. He was a past member of Lima Elks Lodge #54 and the American Legion.

He is survived by: two daughters Patricia K. "Pat" (Richard) Cain, of Scottsdale, AZ, and Ellen (Donald) Hildebrand, of Folsom, CA; six grandchildren Megan E. Cain, Matthew E. Cain, Fredrick M. Frye, Andrew J. Frye, Erin Stephens, Meredith L. Mansfield; five great grandchildren Zachary Mansfield, Darrin Mansfield, Ande Stephens, Carter Stephens and Penelope Frye.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanne P. "Jodi" (Dale) Black.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service to follow at 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Rose Catholic Church on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. with Father David M. Ross officiating.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
