Lima — Harold L.Jackson 85, passed away January 10, 2014, at 11:13 am at the Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, OH.

Harold was born February 29, 1928 in Dearborn, MI to Lawrence E.and Ella Viola Hall Jackson who preceded him in death. On May 5, 1951 he married Thyra "Terry" J. Jackson who survives in Lima.

Harold was a veteran of the U.S.Coast Guard during WWII. Harold had worked at the Lima Ford Engine Plant retiring in 1987 after 30 years of service. He had been attending the First Baptist Church in Lima. He had been a member of the UAW #1219. He loved to travel and he and his wife would love to take the family on many vacations through the years.

He is survived by a Son, Harold (Cheryl) Jackson Jr. of Lima, OH, Daughter, Sharon (Bruce) Rager of Lima, OH, Daughter, Lorri Jackson of Elida, OH, Daughter, Sandra (Dan) Swick of Lima, OH, 13 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, Brother, J. Gordon (Joy) Jackson of Ft. Myers, FL, Brother-in-law, Francis L. Haas of Livonia, MI, Sister-in-law, Margaret Jackson of Lima, OH.

He was preceded in death by Brothers Lawrence "Jack" Jackson, William "Bill" Jackson and an infant Brother L.Gary Jackson.

Services will be held January 14, 2014 at 10:00 am at CHILES -LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Rev. Rob White will be officiating the service. Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima. There will be military rites being performed by the U.S. Coast Guard and the VFW #1275.

Friends may call Monday, January 13, 2014 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
