DELPHOS — Herbert I. "Herb" Jackson, 66, died July 12, 2014.
He was born Jan. 12, 1948, in Lima to Lewis and Lottie McLaughlin Jackson, who preceded him in death. On June 19, 1976, he married Pamela Leidy, who died Jan. 8, 2006.
Mr. Jackson was an avid Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed movies and music. His true passion was spending time with his grandchildren, especially their sporting events. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 144 in Lima. He retired from Sears as a manager after more than 20 years of service.
Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer (Ryan) Betts, of Lima, Kathleen (Aaron) Halsey, of Corona, California, and Kimberly Jackson, of Delphos; a sister, Rebecca Jackson, of Sun City, Arizona; a brother-in-law, Michael (Sally) Leidy, of Lima; a sister-in-law, Patricia (Dan) Meeks, of Lima; and five grandchildren, Garrett, Morgan, Madelyn, Andrew and Sarah.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. The Rev. David Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7:30 p.m. today and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
