LIMA — Richard J. (Dick) Miller, 83, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014, in Fort Pierce, FL.

Richard was born March 7, 1930, son of the late Edward G. and Cecilia Miller. He married Helen A. Whitacre August 13, 1955.

He graduated from St. Johns High School, Lima, and served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from Lima Post Office. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Lima, and attended Holy Family Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Richard was a life member of Lima Elks Lodge #54, a life member of VFW Post #1275, and was also a member of Eagles Lodge #370, Cairo American Legion Post #0133, and Moose Lodge #199. A snow bird, Dick wintered in Port St. Lucie, FL.

He was predeceased by brothers Walter, Ralph, and Michael, and sisters Rita Graham and Rosemary Burden.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 8, at 11:00 a.m. at Lima St. Charles Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to St. Charles Catholic Church, 2175 West Elm Street, Lima, OH 45805.
