SPENCERVILLE — Bobby E. "Bob" Hale, 55, died at 2:32 p.m. March 29, 2014, at Lima Memorial Health System, following a five-week illness.
He was born May 18, 1958, in Saginaw, Mich., to Forest and Charlene Campbell Hale, who preceded him in death. On July 15, 1976, he married Paula R. Custer, who survives.
Mr. Hale loved being with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is loved and will be greatly missed. He loved fishing. He had worked at PanRec Ice Co., Lima.
Survivors also include five children, Tracy Custer, of Spencerville, Bobbie Jo (Sergio) Ramirez, of Lima, Betty Hale and Charlene (Brian Armsted) Hale, both of Spencerville, and Jason (Heather Tucker) Hale, of Lima; 16 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and seven siblings, Forest Hale Jr, Sherry (Steve) Foust, Lisa (Bill) Salyers, Ray Hale, Randy (Heather) Hale and Ellisworth Hale, all of Lima, and Sheila (Todd) Wheeler, of Elida.
He was preceded in death by and infant granddaughter, Alexis Hale; and three infant siblings.
Services will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. Pastor Davie Coffee will officiate.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
