LIMA — Jaunita F. "Nita" Hollar, 84, passed away at 12:20 p.m. February 27, 2014 at her home peacefully with her family by her side.
She was born on January 1, 1930 in Lima to Waldo & Laura Wolf Davis, who have preceded her in death. On May 14, 1948, she married Vernon H. Hollar, who passed away on August 11, 1997.
Jaunita retired from Pangles Master Market. After retiring, she loved spending time with her family. She is a member of the Bath Community Church. She liked bowling and loved attending her kids and grandkids sporting and school events. She also enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include four daughters, Kathy & Mike Blankenship, of Lima, Cheryl & Mike Donovan, of Lima, Carolyn "Sue" & Wayne Dooley, of Lima, and Janice & Charles Ewing, of Lima; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Hollar, of Lima; two grandchildren whom she raised, David Jones, of Powell and Dawn & Tom Crow, of Lima; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna & Carl Koch, of Texas.
She was preceded in death by a son, Vernon F. Hollar; and a great-grandson, Michael Vernon Hollar.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2014 at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Rev. Charlotte Hefner and Rev. Mark Burden will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
