JEFFERY SCHMENK

WATERVILLE — Jeffery Lynn Schmenk, 68, of Waterville, OH went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 20, 2014.

Jeff was born in Lima, OH to Ernest and Arietta (Decker)Schmenk who proceeded him in death. He attended Lima Bath High School where he was a member of the football team. Jeff worked in sales and management until his retirement in 2009.

Jeff enjoyed touring with Model A clubs, restoring a 1976 Corvette with his son, Tony, playing golf and watching his grandchildren's sporting events and activities. He was an avid Ohio State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was an active member on several committees within the Community of Christ church.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 33 years Jane (Piper) Schmenk. He is survived by siblings Sue (Don)Bott of Lima, OH and Roger Schmenk of Ft. Worth, Tx. He is survived by children Tony (Lynn) Schmenk of Sylvania, OH, Todd (Lyndsey) Burriello of Franklin, TN, Leslie (Dan) Parker of Allentown, PA, Don (Diane) Hensley, Jr. of Bellefontaine, OH, Trisha Kline of Whitehouse, OH and Holly (Brian) Root of Morganville, NJ. Jeff is also survived by grandchildren David and Danielle Schmenk, Joe Oliver, Kaitlyn and Nick Kline andJeremy, Austin and Piper Root.

He was proceeded in death by brothers Jim, Mick and Richard Schmenk and a son, Scott Burriello.

Calling hours are Monday, Feb 24th from 2 – 8 p.m. at thePeinert-Dunn Funeral Home in Waterville, OH. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb 25th at Community of Christ Lutheran Church in Whitehouse, OH. Interment immediately following the service at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, OH.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community of Christ Lutheran church or the Toledo Zoo.
