FINDLAY — Ronald E. Wolford, 68, of Findlay passed away at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at his residence. Ronald was born on May 8, 1945, to the late Carl and Luella (Hartman) Wolford in Findlay. He married Paula Deter and they divorced.
Ronald is survived by his sons: Thomas Wolford of Findlay and Timothy (Shalana) Wolford of Findlay; brothers: Richard (Mary Lou) Wolford of Findlay and Alan Wolford of Freeport, OH; sister, Leila (Leon) Gossman of Arlington; and granddaughter, Jazzalynnde Wolford. Ronald was also preceded in death by his son, William Wolford.
Ronald was a 1963 graduate of Arlington High School and a graduate of the Ft. Wayne International Business College. Ronald was a member of Good Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, Arlington. He was an Assistant Troop Leader with the Boy Scouts and was the Owner/Operator of the Sundry Shoppe in Findlay. He enjoyed tennis, running, and basketball and loved spending time with his granddaughter. Ron had an infectious laugh that lifted everyone's spirits and had a voice that could be distinguished in a crowd.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Larry Schaller will officiate and burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery, Arlington.
