CHARDON — N. LYNN BAHR, Age 73 of Munson Twp., died August 1, 2014 after a long illness at Maplewood at Heather Hill Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 11, 1941 in Detroit, MI, to Carl and Flossie (nee: Fike) Bahr, he lived in the Chardon Area since 1966, having moved from Lima, OH.

Lynn proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1959 to 1965. He serviced as a Part time Chardon Police Officer from 1968 until his retirement in 2004. He also worked for The Associates Financial Service for many years. Lynn was active as his girls' softball coach for many years and attended all of their activities. He was an avid Goldwing Motorcycle enthusiast and loved to take his '69 Corvette to Annabelle's Diner every weekend in the summer. He enjoyed the "Oldies but Goodies'" Rock and Roll.

Survivors include his daughters Lisa Bahr of Munson Twp., and Michelle Poling of Willoughby and the light of his life, his granddaughter, Samantha. Lynn also leaves his two dogs, Bear and Koda. He also leaves many special friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Karen Herold and Judith Stemen and his son in law, Jeff Poling.

The family will host a gathering Tuesday, August 5 from 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 8:00PM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500' south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon.

Concluding the gathering will be the Military Presentation.
