FINDLAY — Jesse J. Henderson, 82, of Findlay, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born on July 31, 1932 in Continental, Ohio to the late Jesse Mac and Edith (Wagoner) Henderson.
Jesse retired from the Ford Motor Company after 27 years. He enjoyed playing euchre, bowling, camping & going on cruises. He also liked the word "no", and the phrase "I don't care."
Jesse is survived by his wife and companion of 32 years, Sue Henderson and his grandson Douglas (Kendell Sherrer) Henderson; children, Candace (Ted) Ansel, Melody (Everett) Gay, and James Henderson, Gordon (Robin) Freeman, June (Beth Leonard) Buttles, Joy Binger, Grant (Laura) Freeman, George Freeman; 32 grandchildren; and 76 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary ( Max) Reynold, Janet (Russ) Sigmon, and Irvin "Dale" (Sandra) Henderson. He is preceded in death by his parents; children, Mary Jean Henderson-Schneider, and Michael Dale (Kay) Henderson; his first wife, Joann Cavander Gaskin; second wife, Janice Kugler Henderson; and siblings, James "Clyde" Henderson, Geoff Freeman, Jan Freeman-Dietz, and Greg Freeman.
The Henderson family would like to extend a special "thank-you" to The Heritage for the care they provided, and the Blanchard Valley Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
Friends and family may visit on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 12:00-3:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500).
