DELPHOS — Frederick S. Wagner, 67, died at 7:20 a.m. Aug. 16, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 19, 1947, in Delphos to Frank and June Sarber Wagner, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 19, 1983, he married Joyce Schroeder, who died June 15, 2013.
Mr. Wagner retired from Phillips Display Components, Ottawa, after 35 years of faithful service. He was a Marine from 1964 to 1967, and he was also a member of Black Swamp and a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was a past member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3035. He was a master woodworker and gunsmith. An avid outdoorsman and nature lover, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin.
Survivors include nine sons, Michael Wagner, of Delphos, Jim (Julie) Wagner, of Delphos, Clint Wagner, of Delphos, Rocky (Michelle) Wagner, of Lima, Frederick Wagner Jr., of Delphos, Edward (Katy) Wagner, of Delphos, Daniel (Lori) Hulihan of Bluffton, Mark (Flower) Hulihan, of Maryville, Tennessee, and Sean (Rachel) Hulihan, of Delphos; a daughter, Tammy (Paul) Nieto, of Delphos; 15 grandchildren, Ay'lish Hulihan, Nicole Hulihan, Jeremiah Nieto, Jordan Nieto, Rudy Nieto, Laine Hulihan, Alec Hulihan, Matthew Hulihan, Bailie Hulihan, Kestley Hulihan, Connor Hulihan, Tristen Wagner, Morgan Wagner, Brandyn Smith and Aliyah Smith; two great-grandchildren, Gwen Wagner and Gracie Wagner; a sister, Gloria "Dottie" Hubbard, of Delphos; and a brother, Dave Wagner, of Delphos.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Jimmy Wagner.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos, with military rites by the Delphos Veterans Council. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery at a later date.
