BETTY DAVIS
CRIDERSVILLE — Betty Lou Davis age 83, of Cridersville died 12:20 p.m., Tuesday Dec. 16 at Otterbein-Cridersville. She was born july 28, 1931 in Marion, OH to the late Lowell A. and Lelah M. Eberhart Cook. She married Rev. Richard E. Davis Sept. 4, 1948 and he preceded her in death May of 1990.
Mrs. Davis had been a homemaker and a secretary for Eastside Insurance, Lima and Ansley Insurance, Kenton. She was a member of Westminster United Methodist Church, District united Methodist Women and Westminster Social Improvement Club. She was active in each parish she and her husband pastored.
Survivors include 2 sons: Edwin (Jackie) Davis of Harrod and David (Dani) Davis of Piqua, a daughter Sharon (Mike Cummings) Davis of Fremont, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and a sister, Beverly (Frank) Mooney of Marion.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Westminster United Methodist Church with Pastor David Burkhart officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be buried in River Cliff Union Cemetery, Mt. Gilead.
Memorial contributions may be given to Westminster United Methodist Church Abbey building fund.

Sorry to hear of your loss, she is in goods hands now. my deepest sympathy to Sharon, Ed, David and all of the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a great lady and will be missed by all. God's peace to all of you. She will be able to play scrabble again with all of her friends like they used to do on New Years's Eve.

I took care of Betty a couple of years ago, when she stayed at Lost Creek before moving to Otterbein. What a joy and blessing she was, an angel on earth. My deepest sympathy to the family.
