FINDLAY — Maurice B. Boecker, 72, of Findlay, died on Monday, January 13, 2014 at his residence. He was born on March 28, 1941 in Cloverdale, Ohio to the late Henry and Ruth (Schmidt) Boecker . He married Madonna L. Meyer on April 15, 1961 and she preceded him in death on May 31, 2012. Surviving are three children, Gregory L. (Lynette Diebert) Boecker, Findlay, Michelle (Tom) Merker, Greenwood, Missouri, Carla (Daniel) Halstead, Leesburg, Florida, two grandchildren, Jordan Boecker and Danielle Croup, and three great grandchildren, Dalton, Cadon and Sarah. Also surviving are eight brothers, Norbert (Jean), Karl (Linda), Dennis (Diane), Duane (Bonnie), Paul (Laurie), Marvin, George (Terri), Alan (Tammy), and two sisters, Marilyn (Don) Dunbar, and Maureen (Peter) Kennerk. Maurice was also preceded in death by a son Jeff. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Moose Lodge, Amvets and the VFW. Maurice enjoyed his career with the Findlay Fire Department retiring as Fire Chief. Maurice also loved playing Bridge, singing karaoke, and caring his two dogs, Pepper and Rascal and his two cats Peaches and Patches. Visitation will be held at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2014 with a Rosary at 7:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2014 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
