FLOSSIE NICHOLS
LIMA — Flossie L. Nichols, 93 of Lima, passed away 4:20 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2015 at Elmcroft of Lima.
She was born March 30, 1922 in Henry County, Ohio to George S. & Blanche A. (Searfoss) Thomas and they preceded her in death. On November 2, 1946 she married John Nichols and he passed away August 30, 2001.
Flossie is survived by her son, Darryl J. (Patti) Nichols of Elida, a son-in-law, Larry Elsass of Cridersville, her grandchildren: Russell (Jenny) Myers of Lima, Jeremy (Liza) Myers of Lima, Kristen (Cory) Bonifas of Columbus Grove, Jonathan (Katy) Nichols of Delphos and Matthew Nichols of Elida. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Alexis Myers, Ella Myers, Catherine Myers, Caleb Myers and Emersyn Bonifas; her siblings, Lloyd Thomas of Continental and Eva Ronci of Youngstown.
Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl S. Elsass, and her siblings, Thelma Shadrach, Velma Riechenbach, Evelyn Warnimont, Frieda Cooper, Ernest Thomas, Lily Thomas, May Radabaugh, Betty Foster, Russell Thomas, Walter Thomas and two infants.
Mrs. Nichols retired in 1982 as the cafeteria manager for the Lima City Schools after 16 years of employment. She had also been employed with Kewpee for 35 years. She was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Wapakoneta. She loved to sew and cook; she made a fantastic sugar and butterscotch pie!
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 26 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Bragg officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME 506 N. Cable Rd. Lima, Ohio.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Harvest Baptist Church 1301 Navajo Trail Wapakoneta, Ohio 45895.

John and Flossie were our neighbors when I was growing up sad to hear of her passing but happy to know that she is reunited with her loved ones prayers for the family

Worked with Flossie the last few weeks at Elmcroft. She was an amazing lady and a joy to be around. She will be missed! Prayers with her family.
