DENNIS WINKLE
OTTAWA — Dennis K. Winkle, 57, of Ottawa died 11:48 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at his residence.
He was born July 3, 1958 in Lima to Mallie C. and Eileen (Haughn) Winkle. His father is deceased and his mother survives in Ottawa. On September 11, 1999 he married Barb McFarland, who survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are his daughters: Kellsie Winkle, at home, Tasha Orr of Columbus and Mallory Ayers of Lima; 3 grandchildren; 2 sisters: Ginger (JR) Zachrich of Daphne, AL and twin, Pamela "Penny" Winkle of Kettering; mother-in-law and step father-in-law: Bev (Herb) Corbet; brothers and sister in-laws: Fr. Tim McFarland of Rensselaer, IN, Kathy (Steve) Stechschulte of Ottawa, Pat (Janet) McFarland and Kevin McFarland both of Ottawa.
Dennis is preceded in death by his father-in-law: David McFarland and a sister-in-law: Sandy McFarland.
Dennis worked for PepsiCo, Lima and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. He enjoyed cooking, especially Mexican food and his homemade salsa. Dennis loved the OSU Buckeyes and the Chicago Bears.
A Funeral Service will begin 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with Fr. Tim McFarland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
Memorial contributions may be given to Putnam County CAP or toward Kellsie's Education Fund.
