Mrs. Denise Rochelle McCormick Obituary
Denise Rochelle McCormick, 59, of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018 at her residence.
She was born on Aug. 24, 1958 in Richmond Heights to Gilbert and Teddy (Mattingly) Michler. Denise grew up in the St. Louis area along with her three sisters Renee, Dee and Michele. She had a sweet personality and was always a good listener.
Denise was married to Robert "Bob" McCormick on July 22, 2006 in Troy. They enjoyed spending their time with each other and their families. Denise loved animals, especially horses and cats. She had a special horse named Tuff and four cats Diva, Cleo, Luna and Mia. Tending to her flower gardens was what she liked to do along with going shopping with family and friends. She loved to cook and her family fondly remembers "that she was an excellent cook and liked to entertain her family". Denise had a big heart and was always willing to help others.
Surviving are her loving family; her devoted husband, Bob McCormick; her children Kelly (Ryan) Whitley, Kim (Cale) Cannon, Rebecca (Dan) Kulp, Chad (Jesika) Wilcockson and their father, Davey Wilcockson; Bobbie (David) Bergfeld, William McCormick, Elizabeth (David) Mundy and her mother, Teddy Michler. Denise is further survived by her 13 adoring grandchildren Dylan, Jackson, Lane, Reese, Evelyn, two on-the-way, Jessica, Kacy, Andrew, Keenan, Shawn and Bristol and her three sisters Renee (Bud) Reading, Dee (Harold) Stonebarger and Michele Michler.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gil Michler.
Visitation was held from 5:30-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018 and also Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 from 9-11 a.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy location. Fr. Tom Wissler officiated. Interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Chad Wilcockson, Cale Cannon, Dan Kulp, Ryan Whitley, Wayne McCormick, and Gary McCormick.
