MT. PULASKI, IL - Arland "Red" Morrow, 87, formerly of Clinton, Ill., left this life at 9:15 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016, at Vonderleith Living Center in Mt. Pulaski, Ill.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton, Ill., with Pastor Mark Morgan officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Kenney, Ill.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to: Vonderleith Living Center in Mt. Pulaski, Ill., or Latham Baptist Church.
Arland was born Sept. 30, 1928, in Weldon, Ill., the son of William and Bertha (Smith) Morrow. He married Barbara Wasson on Sept. 11, 1948.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Morrow; son, Ray (Gloria) Morrow; grandson, Samuel (Pam) Morrow; and one great-grandson, A.J., all of Mt. Pulaski, Ill. Also surviving are sisters, Ruth (Fred) Winstead, Chipley, Fla., and Gertrude Clark, Decatur, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Lane; brother, Walter "Walt"; and dear grandson, Nathan Morrow.
Arland retired from Caterpillar of Decatur on April 1, 1991, and then enjoyed showing his tractors. He helped form the Lincoln Land Antique Tractor and Engine Club of Lincoln, and was also a member of the International Chapter #10 in Penfield, Ill. He and Barbara enjoyed several years of showing their Internationals.
He was a quiet man and a dear friend to all that knew him. Arland enjoyed nothing more than working.
He will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know him.
