Carl McCurry
MT. PULASKI, IL - Carl McCurry, 89, of Mt. Pulaski passed away at 2:35 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014, at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski.
Carl was born on May 20, 1924, in Elkhart, Ill., son of Thomas and Eva Scroggins McCurry, Sr. He was united in marriage to Jeanine Beverly Carlin on Aug. 12, 1950. She preceded him in death on Feb. 25, 1995. He was a retired farm hand and a member of the Logan County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his children, Larry (Pam) McCurry of Ariz.; Christopher (Sarah) McCurry of Lincoln, Ill.; Scott (Insook) McCurry of Latham, Ill.; Julie (Doug) Clampet of Chestnut, Ill.; and Deanna (Kenneth) Graber of Lincoln, Ill.; two brothers, George McCurry of Mt. Pulaski and Thomas McCurry of Cornland, Ill.; one sister, Annis Morris of Ariz.; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Henry, and one son, Dennis Ray.
Services for Carl will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 2, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski with Mark Weber conducting services. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014, also at the funeral home. Burial at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery will follow the service. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Home Hospice.
