Virginia Sniff Obituary

Virginia M. (Marshall) Sniff 1923 - 2016
CHESTNUT, IL - Virginia M. Sniff, 92, formerly of Lincoln, passed away July 1, 2016, at St. Frances Hospital in Litchfield, Ill.
Virginia, daughter of Arless and Gladys Marshall, was born Nov. 13, 1923, in Chestnut, Ill., where she spent the majority of her life.
She was married to Chet Stanley who died in 1944. She later was married to Donald D. Sniff. Two sons, D. David and Bruce G. Sniff, were born of that marriage. Both survive.
She operated a beauty shop in her home in Chestnut for nearly 50 years and was a member of Chestnut United Methodist Church.
Surviving also are Bruce's wife, Carol; David's partner, Marlene; two grandchildren, and four great-grandsons.
Her mother, Gladys Obery, stepfather, Leonard J. Obery, stepbrother, Leonard Obery, Jr., and sister, June M. Hein, preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends in the near future.
Memorials may be made to: Chestnut United Methodist Church.
