LINCOLN, IL - Geneva Ingram, 86, of Lincoln, passed away Aug. 18, 2014, at The Christian Village.
A memorial gathering will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 25, 2014 also at the funeral home.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Ill.
Geneva was born April 26, 1929, in Logan County, Ill., the daughter of Obie Brockman and Jessie Mae Brockman. She grew up in Burtonview, Ill., and some in Kentucky. Geneva married Donald Dean Ingram. He preceded her in death.
She was employed at Lehn and Fink for 17 years. Geneva was a resident at The Christian Village for two years and enjoyed the activities there, especially bingo, trips, church services, arts and crafts, and helping the cafeteria staff set the table for meals.
Surviving are one son, Mark Ingram of Lincoln, Ill.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sister, Thelma Rehder of Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Genadean Ingram; son, Dennis "Boomer" Ingram; and several sibings.
Memorial donations may be made to the Activities Department at The Christian Village and will be accepted at the funeral home.
