Opal C. Beckers
MT. PULASKI - Opal C. Beckers, 93, of Mt. Pulaski passed away at 3:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Vonderlieth Living Center.
Opal was born on April 25, 1918 to John and Anna Curry in Farber, Missouri. She married Elmer Mendenhall. He preceded her in death in February of 1954 . She later married Roy Beckers. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1982. She is survived by her son George (Anna) Beckers of Mt. Pulaski, IL, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 1 daughter; Susan Mendenhall Postlewait, three brothers and two sisters and one grandson.
There will be a Graveside Service at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. Father Tony Ego will conduct services. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pulaski Library.
