SPRINGFIELD - Rosemary Hudspeth Klokkenga, 75, of Springfield, IL, and formerly of Hartsburg, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012, at Kindred Hospital. She was born August 1, 1936, in Lincoln, IL, the daughter of James and Thelma Werkman Hudspeth. On March 4, 1966, she married Glen August "Bud" Klokkenga, who preceded her in death.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Danette (Dale) Marten of Beaver Lake, NE; Pastor Timothy (Chris) Hessig of Bellevue, NE; Katherine Angermeier of Springfield; grandchildren Jeremy (Dawn) Marten, Bridgette (Homer) Huff, Jeff Hessig, Jamie (Tony) Garcia, Julie Hessig and Kasey Angermeier; great grandchildren Wyatt and Paige Huff, Logan Marten, Abriahna & Andrew Garcia; brother Robert Hudspeth of Lincoln; sister Connie (Philip) Dehner of Lincoln and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rosemary was born on the first day of the very first Logan County Fair in 1938. She attended Virden High School and graduated from Lincoln High School. She retired from the State of Illinois after twenty years of service.
Cremation rites were accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham.
Graveside services will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery on Friday, July 20, at 1 p.m. Friends and family are invited for fellowship immediately following at Wedgewood Terrace Round House.
