Paul Huston "Beez" Rogers
LINCOLN, IL - Paul Huston "Beez" Rogers, 86, passed away at 7:15 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill.
Paul was born Nov. 29, 1927, in Beason, Ill., the son of Abshure Huston and Frances Wilson Rogers. He married Margaret Bailey on May 12, 1951, in Lincoln. She survives in Lincoln.
Paul is also survived by his children: Jeffrey L. (Elaine) Rogers of Springfield, Joy L. Rogers of Lincoln, and Jay R. (Debra) Rogers of Mt. Pulaski; six grandchildren: Scott, Jessica, and Brittany (Cole) Sharp, Chelsea (Aaron) Altman, and Joshua and Andrew Rogers; one great-grandchild, Henry Sharp; one brother, Robert E. "Red" (Doris) Rogers of Lincoln; three sisters: Helen Leesman of Lincoln, Shirley (Dareyl) Brown of Armington, and Frances K. (James) Boyd of Broadwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Paul worked in maintenance at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital for 27 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1952. He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post #263.
Paul chose to be cremated. A visitation will be held Friday, Feb 7, 2014, from 4-7 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery at a later date with full military rites accorded by the American Legion Post #263.
Memorials may be given to
