Dorothy J. Bahn
MT. PULASKI - Dorothy J. Bahn, 79, of Mt. Pulaski died at 6:45 P.M. Friday, June 15, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Dorothy was born on August 12, 1932 in Kenney, IL to Owen and Mae Embry Pharis. She married Vernell Bahn on October 17, 1953. He survives of Mt. Pulaski.
Also surviving is one daughter Karen (Donald) Hummel of Mt. Pulaski, two grandchildren, Jay Byrne of Mt. Pulaski and Chad Byrne of Mt. Pulaski, three great grandchildren Alexis, Blake and Chase Byne, two brothers Ray (Pat) Pharis of Refugio, TX, Kenneth (Mary) Pharis of Rienzi, MS, two sisters Helen Frank of Refugio, TX and Mary Louise (Gene) Mattingly of Atlanta, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Lillian Rentmeister and two brothers Junior and Gerald. She was a member of the Chestnut United Methodist Church.
Services for Dorothy will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski with Rev. Rachel Stockle officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be at Steenbergen Cemetery, Mt. Pulaski immediately following services. Memorials may be made to the Bahn family.

I am so sorry to hear about Dorothy, I loved out little chats and how she would be so kind to offer me a pack of gum that she had won at bingo. She will truly be missed by all!!

Beautiful picture of Aunt Dorothy.It's how I remember her when I was growing up when I saw her the Bahn reunions. My husband Dale and I always enjoyed visiting her and Uncle Vernell at the nursing home.

So sorry to hear of Dorothys passing. I really enjoyed talking to her when I worked at Vonderlieths. She was a really nice person and could always make me smile with her stories. She will be missed
