Alberta Davison Obituary
LINCOLN, IL - Alberta Davison, 92, of Lincoln, formerly of Middletown, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill.
Alberta was born March 31, 1925, in Elkhart, Ill., the daughter of Robert and Esther (McDaniel) Sipe. Alberta married Kenneth Davison on April 26, 1944, in Petersburg. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2013.
Alberta is survived by her son, Kenneth G. (Donna) Davison of Chino, Calif.; niece, Linda Serra; two grandchildren, Kevin (Stephanie) Davison, and Valerie (Eric) Griffin; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, and one brother.
Alberta was a member of Sweet Water Christian Church. She was also the ALA 17th District President from 1996-1997 and 2001-2002, was a life member of ALA Unit 672 Middletown, where she served as president, Cronin Bros, VFW Auxiliary 1756, where she also served as president. Alberta spent many hours volunteering for the veterans. Alberta was also a member of La Societe de Femme of Logan County Cabane 985, where she served as president, she also served as grand president for the Grande Cabane de Illinois from 1998-1999.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service for Alberta will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Irish Grove Cemetery in Middletown, Ill., officiated by Minister Roger James. A celebration of life dinner will be held at the Middletown American Legion Post #672.
Memorial donations may be made in Alberta's name to: Sweet Water Christian Church.

I remember spending time with her at her place across the street from my grandpa Smith's house. I also remember her bring me my food down at the restaurant. She was a sweet lady, I learned today that she helped my grandma many times. She would remember me as Lucy Hansen (Carl the 3's kid). I always had to go say hi when I was in town. Sorry for your loss.
