Van Greene
7/1/1934 - 6/9/2012

Born July 1, 1934 to Hoyt and Mary Green. He started his life in the hills of Arkansas and passed away June 9, 2012, in the hills of Auburn, Calif.
Van served in the army before starting his lifelong career as a hair stylist in Sacramento and later, Auburn. He was one of a group of young, talented people starting out in the hair styling business in the Sacramento area during the late 50's and continued in his profession until the early 2000s. Van will always be remembered as a man with style, grace and an easygoing temperament. In retirement, he finally had time to enjoy the natural surroundings of his beloved home in the rolling hills outside of Auburn.
Van is survived by his children, Lisa and Matthew; their mother, Nancy; and grandchildren, Anthony and Jessica. He also leaves sisters, Wanda, Eula, Lucille, and brother Jim (Kay). Van has nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews, cousins and many friends, including his special friend, Toni, to remember him for the love and interest he showed in each of them. At Van's request, there will be no formal service.
