Dear Lorraine and your family,
I have only learned of Geoff"s passing yesterday. I am one of the St Andrews Oncology, Toowoomba, nurses who have had the privilege of nursing Geoff. Such a privilege.
However, we nurses and patients have been "nursed" or ministered to by Geoff since the day he first arrived at our Unit. He was truly the hands and feet of Jesus, walking our ward during his infusions - talking to, listening to, caring for, and encouraging patients - who in turn witnessed the tangible love and healing of our precious Jesus Christ. Many are asking about him still, and missing him.
His passing has left a huge hole on my working day. I know it sounds ironic, but Geoff's cancer was our God's way of walking the Oncology Units. Geoff encouraged my faith and I have been so blessed by his ministering.
I am deeply saddened for your loss and can't explain in words how much I will miss him. Thank you, as a family, for blessing us the way you did.
Yours sincerely
Wendy R.N. St Andrews

Still remember the day like it was yesterday. Condolences to the family. I will remember him as a compassionate man that showed me that hope is what keeps us going.

Wonderful man of God, Geoff Pankhurst - we first met 50 years ago when he was our Methodist Minister at Merryland Methodist Church and MYF and later to turn up in Orange as our Minister once again at the Uniting Curch - you have been a faithful and loyal friend to me and so many others far and wide and will be greatly missed. Our love and thoughts go out to Lorraine, Joy, Beth and families - sorry we can not attend on Friday but will be praying for you all. Love and Blessing.

Condolences to his family and to Lorraine. I have very fond memories of Geoff at Greystanes when I was in the youth fellowship there - mid-1970's and I was just 19 - he always had a laugh and we shared a love for the absurd - he will always be "Eccles" from the The Goon Show to me.
RIP Geoff.
