Deena Kirby Obituary
Deena worked for many years as a court reporter. She owned a very successful court reporting firm. She is remembered by the legal community as a total professional who took great pride in her work.
A lifelong horsewoman, Deena grew up riding horses through the vineyards and cherry orchards near her Lodi home. She raised prize-winning Arabian horses. She owned and operated All Seasons Carriage Company. Her teams of Percheron horses were the stars of movies, weddings and many, many Christmas parties.
Deena's motto was "Live life. This is not a rehearsal." She leaves behind a wide circle of friends that loved and admired her. Deena never said "no" to an adventure, especially if it involved travel, good friends and horses. Deena was optimistic and looked forward to what each day would bring. Her smile brightened the lives of all who knew her.
Deena is predeceased by her sister Barbara and her beloved parents Dorothy and Maurice Bailey. She is survived by her loving companion John and many dear friends. She will be greatly missed.
Services will be held on Friday, March 18th, 2022. A horse drawn hearse processional will depart the Lodi Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, at 9:30 a.m. Graveside services will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of her Life will be held at English Oaks Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lodi at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the church fellowship hall. The Celebration of Life for Deena can be viewed live for those who might want to attend remotely. To view, go to YouTube English Oaks Seventh Day Adventist Church or the church's Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Access Adventure or the charity of your choice.

The Baileys were dear friends of our parents and we enjoyed visiting with Barbara and Deena when visiting Lodi. I wish I could have found Deena before this. We had such great times, but lost contact after we grew older. Deena was such a sweet and enjoyable girl.

Deena and all of us girls that went to school from 1st grade through college were sisters of the heart. I will miss her so much. We kept in touch throughout the years and she and John had come to the ranch several times. Deena you will be truly missed. This breaks my heart, I loved you very much. Till we meet in heaven. Deb

I am deeply saddened to learn of Deena's passing. I first met Deena back when we both worked at Tillie Lewis Foods. Through the years we occasionally ran into each other around town, at the grocery store, at restaurants, at crab feeds. I still remember one Christmas she invited me to her home for a "Baked Potato Bar." I always enjoyed hearing about her many life's adventures. I will miss her.
