Dozier, Eunice Leo (Helms)  
Eunice Leo Helms Dozier was born June 16, 1920 in Lincoln, AR to Jim and Effie Helms. She was the fourth of five children, three sisters and one brother all who predeceased her. She and her family came to California in 1937 and finally settled in Kinghtston, CA. She graduated from Liberty High School in Brentwood, CA in June 1939 and worked as a secretary for the owner of a packing shed in Oakley, CA. In the spring of 1940 she met Elmer W. Dozier and it was a lifetime love affair. They were married December 22, 1940. Together, they had four children, Thomas Leroy, Joyce Yvonne, Judith Diane and James Helms Dozier. Eunice and her young family lived in Antioch, CA until they moved to a farm on Liberty Road outside of Galt, CA. She lived there until early 2000 when she moved off the farm after her husband passed away in November 1999. Her whole life was dedicated to her church, husband & family. Every summer a garden was made and she canned & froze hundreds of pounds of vegetables & fruits and jams & jellies. She lived in Lodi from 2000 to 2013 with her little Sheltie, Sam & just loved her little home on Elgin St. In 2013 she moved to Ashley Place and lived there until she was moved to Arbor Nursing Center in March and died August 23, 2015 with her son James at her bedside. She leaves all four children: Tom Dozier (wife Joyce) Joyce King (husband Bob) Judy Woods (husband Tommy) and James Dozier (wife Carol). Grandchildren; Tonya Caldwell, Tammy Pratton, Stacey Schweldhelm. Elton Carnes IV, Rodney Leroy Carnes (predeceased in 2002), Kelli Van Blaricom, Eric Woods, Montana Marshall and Bethany Henning. There are also seventeen great grandchildren (one predeceased - GinaReno) and two great great grandchildren with another one on the way. There will be a funeral this Friday, August 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ, 600 S. Ham Lane, Lodi, CA with burial at the Galt Cemetery following.

Drain, Allan Louis  
Allan was born and raised in San Francisco, California.  He worked for RCA Global Communication for 21 years before he moved with his family to the Foothills and bought the "Country Deli" in Jackson, California.  After his children had been raised in the foothills, he then moved on to work for Napa Auto Parts and then retired in Lodi with his wife, Carol. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.  His family was the most important thing to him. He was a die-hard 49ers and Giants fan as well.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  There will be a graveside service held Thursday, August 20th at 10:00a.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park.   Alan is preceded in Death by his wife, Carol Drain. He is survived by his children Kim Videll, David Drain and Tine Lent. His grandchildren Samantha Zawodny, Ty Soares, Sydney Drain, Lily Drain, Jase Lent and his three great-grandchildren.
