Golz, Florence Edna  
Florence Edna Golz, of Lodi, passed away on July 25, 2015, at the age of 93. Mrs. Golz was born in Venturia, North Dakota on May 2, 1922, to Christ and Theresa (Pfeifle) Marzolf. She married Rudolph "Rudy" Golz on August 25, 1943 in Lodi. They lived in Aberdeen, North Dakota and moved to Lodi in 1956. She was a Charter Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, as well as an active member. Mrs. Golz is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie Kendall-Petersen, of Scottsdale, AZ; grandson, Sean (Jessica) Kendall; great-grandson, Charlie Kendall, 16; and great-granddaughter, Julia Kendall, 13, all of Windemere, FL; daughter, Mary Pope-Bender (Steve), of Stockton; grandson, Lansing M. Pope, of San Diego; great-grandsons, Russell (Sydney) Pope, 20, Brandon Pope, 12; and great-great-grandson, Jaxten Pope, 6 months, all of South Carolina; grandson, Jason (Merry) Pope; great-grandson, Preston Pope, 15; great-granddaughter, Priscilla Pope, 12; and great-grandson, Paxton Pope, 10, all of Santa Clarita; brother, Alvin (Corrine) Marzolf, of Thornton, CO; sister-in-law, Florence Marzolf; and sister, Bernice (Andy) Dutenhoeffer of Ramona, CA. Mrs. Golz was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph "Rudy" Golz in 1993; parents, Christ and Theresa Marzolf; and brothers, Walter Marzolf and Ervin Marzolf. Visitation will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Wednesday, July 29, at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with committal to follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. A guest register may be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com where memories can be shared.

Grever, Zane Monroe  
Zane was born to Jesse and Margaret Grever in Eads, Colorado. He passed away at his home in Lodi, CA surrounded by his loving family. At age 7 he moved to Sunnyvale, CA and later migrated to Santa Cruz, CA, where, at the young age of 16, met the love of his life, Patsy Ruth Burns. They married October 31, 1948. They had 4 children, Zane and Patsy had a long, happy life together married for 65 years. During his lifetime he had many occupations. Dishwasher, working in the family leafmold business, working in a chemical plant and sheetrocker "Dry-Wall Specialist" as his primary occupation until retirement. His interests included traveling with wife, Patsy; golfing; fishing; hunting; and all things outdoors. He spent many years hosting at Seacliff State Beach Park in Aptos, CA. He is survived by three of his children and their families. Sharlene & John Sullivan, Kathy Spears and Lori & Don Thomas. 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and three siblings, Doug Grever, Barbara Bale & Bruce Grever all of Caldwell, Idaho. Preceded in death by wife Patsy Ruth Grever and son Dennis Allen Grever, his parents and siblings Arthur, Alfred, Kenneth, Alice, Joe, Bill, Charlie, Luda, John, and Peggy. A memorial service will be held 7/31/15 at 1:00 pm. at the Evergreen Chapel, Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, CA.

Grove, Barbara Weng  
Barbara Weng Grove passed away on July 26, 2015 surrounded by her family. A native of Lodi, she grew up on the family vineyard in Acampo and was a member of the class of 1947 at Lodi High School. Barbara married Thomas Laurison at the family ranch in 1949. They raised two children, Thomas and Lori, while living in Hoopa, Fair Oaks and Redlands. Barbara was well known for her entertaining. A marvelous hostess, the family home was always a place to celebrate with good food and conversation. In 1980 Barbara married V. Preston Grove and accompanied him to Virginia where he held a position in marketing and sales for Oshkosh Trucks in Washington D.C. An avid golfer, bridge player and enthusiastic traveler, Barbara remained active in later years returning to Lodi in 2010 to be closer to family. A gregarious, loyal friend and devoted mother and grandmother, Barbara will be dearly missed by all who loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Gladys Weng, her sister, Shirley Monk and her husband, Pres Grove. Barbara is survived by her children Lori Riffle of Sacramento and Thomas Laurison of Acampo and two grandchildren, Kristen and Tom. Friends and family are welcome to join us for a memorial service at St John's Episcopal Church at 11:00 am Saturday, August 1st with a luncheon immediately following.

Guerrero, Jose Jesus "Joe"  
Joe Guerrero, 62 passed away July 2, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. He leaves behind his wife Cindy, and four sons, Danny, Ricky, Joey, and Robert. Sister Toni, niece DeeDee, four grandchildren, nieces and nephew. A celebration of his life will be at a later date.
