Hansen, Carleton Vernon  
Carleton V. Hansen passed away April 18, 2015 in Lodi at the age of 88. He was born in Sacramento, CA on March 6, 1927 to Vernon and Anna Hansen. Carleton served his country in the US Navy, and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge, Lions Club and SIRs. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Neva Hansen; Children: Lynn Templeman (Steve), Chris Hansen (Marleen); grandchildren: Kristi Palmer (Sean), Lori Templeman, Jennafer Sawyer (Ryan), Greg Hansen, Pamela Villalobos, Seth Rogers; and one great-grandchild Payton Sawyer. Visitation will take place from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home 831 Industrial Way, Lodi. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 at E. Harney Lane, Lodi. Carleton's family owned and operated the Kentucky Gold Mine in Sierra City. At a later date the family sold the mine to the Sierra County Historical Society who now operate it as a museum.
