Carolyn Carson Wilson, 86, of Lodi passed away early Thursday, May 2, 2013 at a local hospital. Mrs. Wilson was born March 25, 1927 at Salem, OR and has lived in Lodi for the past 57 years.
She was a teacher and principal with Lodi Unified School District for 40 years.
She was a long-time member of The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist.
A member of the National Teachers and California Teachers Associations.
Also, Lodi Women's Center and the Red Hat Society.
Mrs. Wilson enjoyed travel, reading, playing Bridge and was a very devoted grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Austin H. Wilson, a son, Randolph Austin Wilson and a brother, Woody Carson.
Survived by two sons: Greg (Penny) Wilson of Lodi and Dan Wilson (Lisa Hanson) of Stockton.
Daughter-In-Law: Margo Wilson of Phoenix, AZ
Five grandchildren: Nina, Ava, Jeroe, Hannah and Holly Wilson.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2:00pm at The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 1055 S. Lower Sacramento Rd., Lodi.
There is no visitation and the Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Building Fund or to the Lodi Women's Center.
