Colleen Warmerdam passed away peacefully at home, surrounded and supported by her loving family, the afternoon of November 1, 2012, after battling Lupus, Cancer and Congestive Heart Failure courageously for numerous years. Born in Lodi, California on March 9, 1966, to parents Leo and Corrie Warmerdam, she was 46 years old when she passed. Colleen had 8 brothers and sisters. Her special education included attending several local schools such as Dorothy Mahin School, Lodi High special education and most recently the Central Valley Training center. She was an active participant in the local Special Olympics
, winning multiple medals and ribbons. Colleen was a role model for all. All through her years of battling multiple illnesses onset by her Lupus, she continued to have a positive attitude. She brought so much joy to everyone she met and despite all she endured during her many years of illness, she always had a big smile. She loved spending time with her large family and would get really excited when the family would come together for holidays and special events. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and spending time with her pets. Colleen is predeceased by father Leo Warmerdam, sister, Karen Warmerdam, brother, Frank Warmerdam and brother in-law, Victor Scocci. She is survived by mother, Corrie Warmerdam, and brothers and sisters; Al Warmerdam, Dorothy Scocci, sister in-law, Laurie Warmerdam, Trudy Tomlinson (spouse Ric), Rick Warmerdam (spouse Louise), Jennifer Lauchland (spouse Bart), and Leo Warmerdam, Jr. (spouse Sylvia) and her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, from 8 am to 8 pm at the Lodi Funeral Home, 725 South Fairmont Ave, Lodi, California. A rosary will be held at Lodi Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at 7 pm and a mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at 10 am at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 215 West Walnut Street, Lodi, California. Interment is at Cherokee Memorial Park, Harney Lane at Hwy 99, Lodi, California. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in Colleen Warmerdam's name to the Lupus Foundation, Dorothy Mahin School or The Central Valley Training Center in Stockton.
