Elizabeth Faye and John Henry Fuchsius

Elizabeth Faye Fuchsius, 88, died Christmas Day, December 25, 2012 at Lodi Memorial with her family by her side.
John Henry Fuchsius, 85, died December 29, 2012, peacefully in his sleep at their home in Stockton.
Elizabeth, known to all as Faye, born in OK, to Earl and Bianca Risch, was the 2nd youngest of 6 children. Nearly a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi, an international philanthropic women's sorority; she held every officer role there was. In addition, she was very committed to the Blue Irises/Elks, where she took an active role in the organization/planning of numerous social functions. Faye, a proud matriarch, adored and boasted about her ever growing family.
John, born in NY, to Harry and Lillian Fuchsius, was the youngest of 2 sons. Retiring from the Navy in 1965, his 20 plus year career included several medals/commendations as well as serving as a Helicopter Crew Chief in WWII. John was very committed to both the Moose and Elks Lodges, even holding distinguished officer positions. A devoted husband, John dedicated the last years of their lives together caring for Faye, the love of his life.
John and Faye, married in 1981, spent over 30 years together travelling the world and celebrating life with friends and family. They both were generous in the donation of their time, energy and money. A close friend said that if you were lucky enough to be a friend of John and Faye, you were a friend for life and they would never let you down.
They are survived by daughters Sherry (Kurt) Ziebarth and Glenyss (Chuck) Nelson; grandchildren Angie, Jason, Trisha and Tracy; and great grandchildren Dylan, Avery, Mirabella and Aubrey.
Per their wishes, a small graveside service, for family only, was held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, where they are buried together.
