Elmer Heilbrun Obituary
He was born July 25, 1922, in Minatare, Nebraska. Elmer married Caroline Greif on December 7, 1941. They were married for 71 years. They started their family in Omaha, Nebraska where he worked as a hydraulics mechanic during World War II. After the war he returned to work on the family farm. In 1956 Elmer came to California with his family where he worked for Claude C. Wood Construction for 28 years until he retired.
Elmer was a hard worker and helped with many family house projects. He enjoyed walking his dog, caring for his yard and citrus trees. He and Caroline attended Ebenezer Congregational Church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Carol Heinrich, parents and 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
Survivors include his wife Caroline, brother Harvey Heilbrun, son John Heilbrun (Janice), son-in-law Ted Heinrich, grandchildren Karen Hunt (John), Scott Heinrich (Janelle), Brenda Heinrich, John G. Heilbrun (Karrie), great-grandchildren Zachary Hunt, Alex Hunt, Jacob Heinrich, Andrew Heinrich, and Mia Heilbrun.
A graveside service will be held at Lodi Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, October 23, at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
