Henry C. Zastrow passed away suddenly in his home April 30, 2013 at the age of 57. Henry was born September 21, 1955 in San Fernando, California. Henry and his family moved to Lodi in 1963. Henry attended St. Anne's School, Woodbridge Middle School and graduated from Lodi High School in 1973. Henry started playing Junior Golf at an early age, which landed him on the Lodi High School Golf Team. After graduation Henry attended University of the Pacific on a Golf Scholarship, graduating in 1977 with a degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Botany. While playing Golf for the UOP Golf Team, Henry would collect plant samples from all the golf courses he would play, making for an impressive collection for Botany classes. He went on to attend University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco and graduated with honors in 1981 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
Henry started his Dental Practice in 1981, associated with Dr. Stuckey and then moved on to open a successful Practice with his lifelong friend, Dr. Craig Yarborough. He practiced Dentistry for 28 years before retiring in 2011. He also was chief Dental Consultant for the Dutcher Insurance Company, Inc from 1997-2007. He loved his patients at his practice in Lodi.
Henry had a lifelong passion for Golf. At the age of 15 Hank was the youngest to win the Stockton Record Junior Golf Tournament which qualified him for the Junior Golf Association of Northern California Tournament of Champions at Pebble Beach. Hank was also runner-up two times for the Sacramento City Junior Golf Tournament. He was a three time Division 1 Conference Scholar Athlete Award recipient and four year letterman in Division 1 College Golf at University of the Pacific. He was also past president and board member of the Junior Golf Association of Northern California. Recently he was a committee member of the United States Golf Association (USGA) Junior Amateur. In 2011 he was inducted into the Inaugural Class of the Junior Golf Association of Northern California Hall of Fame, which he was very proud of. Hank was a long time member of the Woodbridge Golf and Country Club and was Club Champion four times (1986, 1988, 1991, and 1993).
The most important part of Henry's life was his entire family. He loved playing golf with his son and supported him in his tournament play.
Henry was a member and benefactor of Pacific Tigers Athletic Association, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Joaquin Dental Society. He was also a member of TKO Honor Society.
Henry is survived by his son, Beau Thomas Zastrow (fiancée Alyson), his father, Dr. Floyd Zastrow, siblings Clare Zastrow Reynolds (husband Fred) and Karl Zastrow (wife Elizabeth), nieces Amanda Reynolds Johnson (husband Christopher), Mary Zastrow, nephew Billy Reynolds, and great-niece Madison. He was preceded in death by his mother Louise Marie Zastrow, brother Dr. Stephen Kramer Zastrow, infant sister Laura Ann Zastrow. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and great friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 Friday, May 17th at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Lodi. Inurnment will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park.
