Hilda Mary Nordhaus(1927-2013)

Hilda Mary Nordhaus passed away on October 21, 2013. Born Hilda Paoletti on January 27, 1927, in Stockton, CA to Louis and Mary Paoletti. The family moved to Lodi in 1941 where she attended local schools. She played women's baseball on a traveling team and is in the Hall of Fame on the team "Star Delux".
She met and married Clifford Nordhaus in 1946. Together they were active in St. Anne's Catholic Church. They raised five children, all of whom attended St. Anne's School. Hilda was a member of the Parents Club for 25 consecutive years.
She was a talented cook, did beautiful crochet projects, had a green thumb, loved her grandchildren, and enjoyed socializing with the many friends she and Cliff had. She was always ready to help someone in need.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nella Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Cliff; daughters, Joanne "Jody" (Rob) Buckman; Gale (Marv) Gibson; Pati (Garry) McKinstry; Paula (Bill) Hicks and son, Don (Sharon) Nordhaus; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
A rosary is scheduled for Sunday at 7PM at Donahue Funeral Home and a funeral Mass at St. Anne's Catholic Church on Monday at 10AM.
Reception following at the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anne's Outreach Program or to Vitas Hospice.
