Jocelyne Huguette (Henne) Miller, age 62, died at her Lodi, California home on November 8, 2012. Jocelyne was born on December 11, 1949 in Casablanca, Morocco, North Africa to Paul Charles and Emilie Theresa (Bonici) Henne.
As a child, Jocelyne's French-speaking family emigrated from Morocco to Québec, Canada. In 1963 they left Quebec and moved to Lodi, where she began middle school.
Still unable to speak a word of English, the whole family attended night school and worked hard to successfully become US citizens. In 1969, Jocelyne graduated from Tokay High School in Lodi.
Jocelyne (who was known in later years as "Frenchie") was an amazing cook, baker and cake decorator. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and doing ceramics. She loved animals of all types and enjoyed working with her husband, Jim, when they had a pig farm in Waterford.
Survivors include her two sons, Real "Skip" and Reno Robles, a brother Chris (Julie) Henne and 4 grandchildren. Jocelyne was recently preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Miller, who died in August.
No services are planned and private inurnment will take place at Cherokee Memorial Park where her parents are buried. Inquiries and condolences may be sent to her family at 1240 W. Sims Way #18, Port Townsend, WA 98368. Lodi Funeral Home coordinated cremation arrangements.
