Joyce Lou (Miller) McQueen

Joyce L. McQueen, of Lodi, CA passed away on February 26, 2013 at the age of 80. She was born Joyce Lou Miller in Hutchinson, Kansas on September 12, 1932 one of seven children born to Sterling and Pearl Miller. She married Clyde "Gene" McQueen and had four children- Michael, Nancy, Mary, and Brian. She was divorced and married Dwight Henry and had a daughter, Beth. Joyce remarried Gene McQueen in July 2004. She was fondly known by her family as Gram-Gram.
Joyce worked at Fry's Supermarket and JC Penney's until she retired. She enjoyed baking cakes for family and friends and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed walking her dog, Amy Lou. Joyce was a member of Westside Assembly.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Diacon, her second husband, Dwight Henry, her brothers, James and Clyde, and sisters Juanita, Dorothy, Thelma, and Nelda.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Clyde "Gene" McQueen, son Michael (Vicki) McQueen, daughter Nancy (Scott) Moffett, son Brian (Jacki) McQueen, and daughter Beth (Joe) Preszler; all of lodi; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service and committal on Friday, March 8th at Cherokee Memorial Park Evergreen Chapel in Lodi at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arbor Convalescent Hospital- Activities Department in her honor.
