Marcella Billigmeier(1922-2013)

Marcella Billigmeier was born in 1922 and passed Friday, Feb. 1, 2013. Marcella was born in West Virginia and raised with her younger sister, Louise and younger brother, Robert. Both preceded her in death. During the 1940's, Marcella made her way to California, a place where she remained and loved to call home. In her younger days, Marcella was a floor lady at canneries in Stockton and Lodi. Later she and her husband, Harold, operated their bar and card room, "Harold's Club" in Lodi. Marcella was an excellent bartender and joke teller. Marcella enjoyed gardening and watching the birds play in her yard. She was an excellent cook and loved trying new recipes. In her later years, she enjoyed caring for Hospice patients and was loved by her patients and their grateful families. On her recent 90th birthday, all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gathered at Vicky and Garney's home to celebrate her life. Marcella had a wonderful time and we will always remember that happy time together. Marcella is survived by her three daughters Crystal Siracusa (Joe) of Skaneatles, NY; Linda Andrews (Harry) of Mill Valley, Calif; and Vicky Hall (Garney) of Arroyo Grande; two sons Steve Montano (Michelle) of Lodi; and James O'Brien (Donna) of Athol, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Marcella's son, Steve and daughter-in-law, Michelle, named their daughter to carry on her name. We all will have great memories of you mom - You will be in our hearts forever.
A memorial will be held in the spring time and the date will be posted in the Lodi News-Sentinel.
