Martha Fischer passed away on February 15, 2013 in Lodi at the age of 96. Born in Elgin, North Dakota on February 27, 1916 to Daniel and Christina Kranich, she has lived the past 77 years in Lodi. Martha's pride and joy was her garden. She loved cultivating beautiful flowers and sharing her knowledge about them with friends and family. She also enjoyed crafts, and spending time with family. She had a great love for God and was a devoted member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband Albert Fischer, and 12 siblings. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Anita Fehling (Clarence) of Lodi, Linda Case (Randy) of Lodi, Myrna Skutak (Jim) of Stockton, Norma Cox of TX, Arila Dunlap of Lodi, Leona Rauscher of ND, Lyle Kranich of Lodi, Betty Rohlmaller (Duane) of Costa Mesa, and Don Kranich (Moreen) of Portland, and numerous great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Cryptside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Cherokee Memorial Park. Donations are preferred to Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1540 W. Lodi Ave. Lodi, CA 95242
