Norman, was born in Lodi on September 9, 1926, and passed peacefully at his home in Sacramento on December 16, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 and had been ill for several months.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Florence, his father, Roscoe Little, his mother, Elsie Brown, stepfather, Harry Brown and his sister, Betty Crowder (Bill). He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Erickson (Don), and brother, Stan (Adele). He is also survived by his 2 sons and daughters-in-law, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Norman was born and raised in Lodi and graduated from Needham School and Lodi High School, Class of 1944. He was a paratrooper in the Army during WWII
, serving in the Philippines and Japan. He moved to Sacramento in 1948 where he met his wife Florence, raised his family, enjoyed a 37-year career with Pacific Telephone and 27 years of retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, travels around the U.S. and long summers at his Donner Lake cabin.
You are invited to a Celebration of His Life to be held at St. Johnís Lutheran Church, 1701 L St. in Sacramento, on Saturday, January 12th at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any remembrances be made to the Leukemia Society or Sutter Hospice.
