Olinda M. Harrison, of Lodi, passed away on March 23, 2014, at the age of 83. Mrs. Harrison was born in Anamoose, North Dakota on May 15, 1930. Before moving to this area, she also lived in Minot, North Dakota. Mrs. Harrison has lived in this area for the last 69 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, gardening, painting (occasionally bright colors); but most importantly, she was a wonderful homemaker who caringly and lovingly took care of her entire family.
She is survived by her daughters, Audrey (Steve) Parkins, and Debby (Mike) Stapelberg; sons, Dennis (Susie) Harrison and Fred Harrison; grandchildren, Kevin Harrison, Christopher (Chrystie) Hughes, Grant (Sasha) Heinitz, Heather Trovinger, Austin Harrison, and Jill (Joshua) Madison; great-grandchildren, Hope Trovinger, Giada Heinitz, Faith Hughes, and Dane Heinitz. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie A. Harrison; mother and father, Bertha and Frederick Knutas; sisters, Amy Freuh, Clara Seibel, Frieda Michelson and Bertha Heinle; brother, Robert Knutas; and step-father, Henry Peters. Friends are invited to visit Thursday, March 27, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place Friday, March 28 at 1 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Newman of First Baptist Church officiating. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
